How to Bake Like a Grad Student: Peach Tart
You're poor, you shouldn't really even have time to bake anything, and you are quickly regretting the choices you are making with your life. This is how to bake like a grad student.
What you need:
a long list of things you should be doing
a strong desire to actually do none of those things
fresh peaches [diced]
cinnamon
sugar
biscuit dough
What you do:
1. In a bowl, combine peaches, sugar, and cinnamon
2. Realize you don't remember any statistics from undergrad, add more sugar
3. Spoon peach mixture into flattened circles of biscuit dough
4. Pinch edges of dough around peaches
5. Top each bun with a pad of butter
6. Bake at 350 until golden brown, getting up often to check on them instead of doing your reading
Eat immediately, save the other one for breakfast tomorrow
Serve with ice cream [who are you kidding, you can't afford ice cream]
Okay, serve with a nice mug of hot tea. Immediately have PTSD-like flashbacks to finals week in college when your main source of sustenance was tea from Greenberry's.
Eat the other one (because at this point, who even cares anymore). Give up on work, go to bed.
